It looks like running back Marion Barber’s time with the Dallas Cowboys may be coming to an end.
The veteran running back hasn’t come anywhere close living up to his seven-year deal worth $45 million.
With Felix Jones and Tashard Choice on the roster, the Cowboys have two younger, more explosive running backs than Barber.
There is no more guaranteed money remaining on his deal, meaning the Cowboys can cut him and won’t lose anything. ( Read More…)

The Dallas Cowboys have hired Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Rob Ryan to take over same position with his new team.
Ryan was in limbo about his job status after the Browns fired head coach Eric Mangini and hired Pat Shurmur.
Last year’s defensive coordinator, Paul Pasqualoni, was hired as the new head coach at Connecticut.
While he doesn’t come with the same success as his brother, Rex, Ryan hasn’t been with teams that have the same type of talent. ( Read More…)

The Dallas Cowboys jumped out to a big lead and then had to break a late tie in a 33-30 win over the Washington Redskins.
Quarterback Jon Kitna threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns, continuing his strong season.
It was a monster day for tight end Jason Witten, who finished with 10 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown.
It was not a good day, however, for the Dallas defense, particularly when it came to the passing game. ( Read More…)

The Dallas Cowboys finally showed some life in a stunning, 33-20 win over the New York Giants.
New head coach Jason Garrett got his first victory in his very first game, and he did so against a quality team.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams said he still believes in his team and thinks they still have a shot at making the playoffs.
Despite the team’s dreadful 1-6 start, Williams thinks his team can roll off nine straight wins and finish 10-6.
In all honestly, even a 9-7 finish might be enough to get Dallas into the playoffs in the medicore NFC.
However, it’s hard to envision exactly how the Cowboys can turn things around so quickly following that ugly loss to Jacksonville. ( Read More…)

The Dallas Cowboys hit a new low in what has been a disastrous season in a 35-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Quarterback Jon Kitna threw for nearly 400 yards and a touchdown, but it was the four interceptions that proved costly.
In Kitna’s defense, he deserved a better fate. Three of the interceptions came off of passes that hit his receivers in the hands and then bounced into a defender’s arms.
The Cowboys defense surrendered four touchdown passes to quarterback David Garrard, which has to be the ultimate embarassment. ( Read More…)

The Dallas Cowboys looked lethargic and undisciplined in a 13-7 loss to the rival Washington Redskins.
The Cowboys defense did their job most of the night, limiting the Washington offense just two field goals.
However, they couldn’t stop the Redskins from reaching the end zone on a turnover at the end of the first half.
Running back Tashard Choice was stripped of the football and the Redskins raced into the end zone as time expired. ( Read More…)

The Dallas Cowboys have rewarded wide receiver Miles Austin with a six-year contract extension worth $54 million.
Austin came virtually out of nowhere last season to lead the Cowboys in receiving and rank among leaders in the NFL.
The wide receiver said that it feels great to have been given a chance by the Cowboys and to have proved he belongs.
The undrafted rookie didn’t start until a month into the season last year, but he made it memorable. ( Read More…)

Dallas Cowboys disgruntled wide receiver Patrick Crayton has asked the team for his release.
Crayton is unhappy with his lack of playing time and knows it will only decrease more in the coming season.
The team elected to trade up in the first round to snare top wideout Dez Bryant, forcing Crayton even lower on the depth chart.
Miles Austin is the team’s top wideout, with Bryant and veteran Roy Williams also ahead of Crayton.
The Cowboys are unlikely to take Crayton up on his offer, as he provides much needed depth at the position.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams hasn’t quite lived up to expecations after the big trade.
Williams was expected to come in and instantly be the big-time star wideout, but it hasn’t gone according to plan.
Instead, he has struggled to even find a role at all in the Dallas offense despite his immense talent.
With the offseason drafting of wideout Dez Bryant, Williams continues to get pushed away from the field.
Miles Austin has already established himself as the team’s star wideout, and Williams could end up as the third or even fourth pass-catching option.
